Sámi, The People, by Erika Larsen

I love the colors in Erika Larsen’s photographs of the nomadic reindeer-herding Sámi people of northern Scandinavia, which manage to seem at once pale and deeply saturated, capturing, perhaps, a special trick of the Arctic light and of the culture’s response to its possibilities.
